Basic Info
Name:Colette Clemenceau
Bio
Salut. I am Colette Clemenceau, also known as C.C. I have fourteen years and I am a French Chosen Child. My partner is Elecmon, an electrical rabbit Digimon who is very protective. I am a nationally ranked cello player, but in my time off, I enjoy playing on the computer and futzing around with it.

My policy in life is to become the best at whatever I do. In the future, I would like to become a better partner to Elecmon, raise my rank in the national listings, and become a better person overall. For now, adieu!

Background info:
Colette was the first daughter born into the high class Clemenceau family. Her father, a government-man under the National Assembly of France, was often gone on his political business, but managed to support his family quite well. His wife and Colette’s mother, was a stay-at-home wife due to her illness of tuberculosis.

Although Colette’s mother was ill, that never stopped her from reigning as the matriarch of the household. Holding her daughter in high regard, she never allowed her to go any less than the best. When her daughter was 5, she started her off playing cello, at age 7, she was considered a prodigy, and at age 12 she was among the best in the nation.

Although 5 and 7 were significant years in her life, age 9 was also another large year for her. Not only was it the year her mother passed away (although, much of the family had seen it coming), it was the year she met her partner, Elecmon. After going to get groceries for her mother, she happened upon a strange, odd-colored rabbit. Thinking it was abused by some random street kids, she took it into her home.

First, she had to drop off the groceries, but shortly afterwords she managed to sneak the rabbit-looking creature into her room and put it on her bed. Scurrying downstairs, past her grandmother who was her new guardian, she snuck back up to her room with a carrot and offered it to the hungry Digimon.

And much to her surprise, after feeding it the one carrot, it replied, “Merci beaucoup, petite fille!” She backed up, and the Elecmon followed, “Aah, please don’t!” it cried, “your name is Colette Clemenceau, and I’m your partner, Elecmon. I’ve been looking for you!”

And although their start was rocky, filled with suspicion on her behalf, the two grew into a fitting partnership. Colette, mature beyond her years, sometimes overlooking the good in life for the negativity—whereas her Elecmon partner would stop and point it out along the way. Her family, of course, never minded the Digimon and even welcomed him into the family—so long as he would help Colette strive to be the best she could be.

Ever since then, Colette has become quite a lover of computers and technology, thanks to the Digimon partner which inspired it all. She’s also attempting to create her own system to connect all of the Chosen Children across the world. All the while, continuing her love of the cello and classical music.

Personality:
The drive to become the best, as instilled through her mother, was something that carries a strong sense of responsibility for her own actions and a perfectionist streak.

Her cello-playing, for example, brings out her personality tenfold. In a musical sheet, there are multiple notes, much like her own personality. Every time she fails on playing a note, she goes back to re-start the song entirely. Furthermore, she will take time out of her own, private, non-practice time to go back and re-do her song if she feels the need to.

Her drive to become the best is also quite a hindrance as well. With her passion, she becomes considerably condescending to those she feels displays a lack of ambition and quality, seeing those types of people as the type to hold her back. This also brings her to become quite ruthless and unforgiving towards those that have wronged her.
She has no problem questioning things around her, more often, questioning the leadership qualities of those she feels aren’t doing their best and this also leads her to becoming very often, a sound voice of reason. For example, before her mother’s death and her father arrived home to welcome his daughter, (she was quick to ask him, “You’re home just because Maman won’t be for much longer, non?”).

This also exerts a maturity beyond her years, as she was seen not crying during her mother’s funeral. Instead, she was soft and solemn, being the comforting figure to those around her (“Maman is in the best of hands now.”) Furthermore, she was trusted as a young girl to go out on her own and take care of important matters such as groceries, without a chaperone. But the moment she arrived home, she locked herself in her room and released her emotions.

Although her maturity is impressive, her most important feature is her ability to be loyal, which was the factor which attracted her Elecmon towards her in the first place. She’s stuck to her mother’s beliefs towards her like an old dog, never abandoning them even though the difficulty towards being the best is sometimes overwhelming. She also makes the time to stick to the Elecmon and become the best she can be.

For example, while she may sometimes seem like an old woman, she still maintains a youthful side. For example, whenever it seems as if she is not getting her way, she often throws a sort of temper tantrum, often raising her voice and stamping her feet. In addition to this, she also prefers sweets and fruits to bitter, spicy, or other types of food (especially traditional French cuisine such as snails, which in her opinion, “Look disgusting!”) that seem unappealing.

Her manners, are at best, questionable. She’s very well at being thankful and grateful, but her welcoming and social skills are in need of serious work—but that is what Elecmon is for. Since the two have been partnered, she’s been improving her sociability and becoming more of a warm and kinder person, losing her cranky old woman shtick slowly but surely.
